Dear parent/caregiver,

Thank you for your continued support of our school as we work together to manage the impact of COVID-19 in our school community.

As a result of significant staff absences due to COVID-19, some of our year levels will be moving to remote learning from Friday 20 May. All year levels will resume face to face learning from Wednesday 1 June.

To ensure we maintain learning continuity, the Department for Education has agreed to the following year levels at Playford International College temporarily moving to remote learning:

Teachers will provide lesson information on Canvas or Compass that students can access at any time during the day. During normal scheduled double lessons, teachers will be available to answer student questions through the chat functions and/or email.

Year 7 to 10 care group teachers will check in with their care group students at least once between 20 May and 27 May. Year 9 and 10 care group teachers will check in with their care group at least once on either 30 May or 31 May.

I anticipate all students will return to school on Wednesday 1 June 2022. We will continue to monitor the situation and will contact you if there is any change.

If you are required to attend work and do not have any appropriate supervision for your child, you can send them to school to be supervised to access their remote learning program. Students should continue to monitor for symptoms and if any develop, even if mild, please get a PCR test.

Please contact your child’s teacher/s, or call the school on 8255 7566 if you require further information.

Yours sincerely,

Karen Bond Principal
