Dear parents/caregivers
Site open for year 11 and 12 students – modified education program –
Thursday 9 November 2023
I am writing to inform you that Playford International College will be open for year 11 and 12 students only on Thursday 9 November 2023 due to a vote for industrial action by members of the Australian Education Union at this site. Year 12 examinations will still occur and be supervised by Playford International College staff. Year 11 and 12 students will be provided with a modified program for the day, which may involve study time or lesson time.
The Education Director has approved the provision of a modified program on the grounds that there will be sufficient staff on duty to enable me, as Principal, to ensure that adequate standards of student safety and welfare can be provided.
Parents and caregivers can send their year 11 and 12 students to the site as normal. Modified education programs will be provided to students until 3:15pm. This means that groups of students will be supervised with some regular classes still being held.
All year levels (year 7 to 12) will resume regular classes at the site from Friday 10 November 2023.
