Design and Technology: Manufacturing in Metalwork
Recently Design and Technology have been approved to start manufacturing a structure to hold a wheelie bin, similar design below. The purpose of these bin structures are to increase the amount of bins in the yard and potentially/ hopefully reduce the amount of litter in the yard at the end of recess and lunch.
The class that will be undertaking this project are from Mr. Green and Mr Parker’s PLT (metalwork class). This project is a great example of how small explicit PLT classes have the opportunity to create authentic real world projects, with relevant skills necessary to be successful in an industry.
We look forward to seeing these in the yard be the end of the year…
