In 2024 we have 10 faculties offering around 190 subjects.

Subject Selection for 2024 will occur during week 5 of term 3 as shown below. 

Current year 9, 10 and 11 students –

Course counselling / Subject selection for 2024 will happen on separate days for each current year level during week 5 of term 3 on the dates shown below –

Year 11 – Monday 21 August 2023
Year 10 – Tuesday 22 August 2023
Year 9 – Wednesday 23 August 2023

• For the year level involved on each of these separate days normal scheduled classes will NOT happen.
• It is COMPULSORY for students to meet with a member of the course confirmation team on their scheduled day.

Current Year 7 and 8 students –

will complete their selections during care group time. Please ask your child for their selection receipt.

• All Visual and Creative Arts, the Performing Arts (Dance and Drama) as well as Contemporary Music (as opposed to Special Interest Music). 

• All aspects of the English language AND English as an Additional Language (EAL)

• From basic cooking to Food & Hospitality industry courses and Child Studies. 

    HUMANITIES & SOCIAL SCIENCES 

• Varied subjects including Legal Studies, History, Aboriginal Studies, Geography and Business Innovation.

• All Languages other than English. 

• From addition and subtraction, through functions and their graphs to statistics and calculus.

     HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION 

• Health and Physical Education (PE) as well as dedicated AFL, Basketball, Netball and Soccer subjects.  

• Subjects as diverse as Wildlife Centre and Robotics to Physics and Biology.

• Our school is one of only four Special Interest Music schools in South Australia. Entry into this course is by audition only. 

• Subjects that focus on using technologies (including digital) and use practical skills as part of learning.

Key to the colour coded badges used

  –  These subjects are compulsory.

  –  Students have a choice between several different subjects but must choose at least one.

  –  These subjects are not at all compulsory and are a free choice.

  –  These are SACE subjects which attract an ATAR.

  –  These are SACE subjects which attract an ATAR but with special conditions. 

–  These are subjects which DO NOT attract an ATAR.

  –  We are one of only four Special Interest Music schools in South Australia. This applies only to our Special Interest Music course.
