Cows Create Careers

Last Wednesday 28 June ten Year 8 students went on an excursion to Kapunda High School to find out the winner of this years Cows Create Careers competition. Students participated in activities throughout the day revolving around the Dairy Industry, before the award presentation.

PIC entered 5 Junior Teams (Year 8s) into the competition. These teams had to develop a letter and a movie based around their learning through working with the calves that we had at school for 3 weeks. The teams were up against 14 other schools also with numerous teams. These included, Nuriootpa High School, Trinity, Kapunda High School, Balaklava High School, Clare High School, Orroroo Area School and Eudunda Area School just to name a few.

We are proud too announce that one of our junior teams came away with a 2nd Place Finish.

Team “Freshavacardoo” was made up of Ler Ler, Thomas, Jack and Karmah. They came 2nd by just 0.5 points to Balaklava High School. If you see these students in the yard please congratulate them on their efforts.

Further to this we won the 2019 Barossa Region Junior Winning School (most consistent) which is a prize of $500 to go towards our Agriculture Program.

Fantastic effort by all!
