Starting Your Journey
Transitioning to high school is a significant milestone to take ownership of your future. At Playford International College, we follow the South Australian Department for Education (DfE) statewide transition process to ensure your move from primary to secondary school is seamless, supportive, and grounded in The Playford Way.
The Transition Process
We act with fierce compassion to ensure every Year 6 student feels a sense of belonging before they even step through our gates. The process is managed through your child’s primary school:
- Registration of Interest: In Term 2, primary schools will provide families with a unique link to register their interest in a public secondary school.
- Offer of Placement: In August (Term 3), families will receive an official placement offer via email or through their primary school.
- The Playford Welcome: Once your placement is confirmed, we invite you to expect different. You will receive an enrolment pack and invitations to our specialised transition days, designed to build trust without question in your new environment.
