THE
UNIFORM

Belonging and Pride

Wearing the Playford International College uniform is a powerful statement of belonging. It reflects a commitment to our school spirit, respect for oneself and others, and a pride in representing our vibrant community. When we wear the uniform, we show the world that we are ready to take ownership of our future and expect different.

Designed by Our Community

The new Playford uniform is the result of fierce compassion and deep collaboration. To ensure our attire reflects who we truly are, we undertook an extensive consultation process involving:

  • Student Voice: Students shared their ideas on comfort, style, and identity to ensure the pieces are functional and modern.
  • Community Input: We listened to our families to ensure the uniform is accessible, durable, and inclusive.

This collaborative spirit led to a non-gendered range that offers versatility and choice, allowing every student to feel comfortable and confident as they pursue their purpose-driven goals.

The Playford Way Dress Code

We believe that when students dress with purpose, they act with purpose.

  • Daily Excellence: The standard uniform is worn at all times on school grounds and during official events.
  • Specialised Learning: Specific attire is designated for PE, Special Interest Music, and VET workshops, supporting students in their hands-on, real-world learning environments.

At Playford International College, wearing the uniform is a standard we uphold with courageous self-belief. We take ownership of our appearance to ensure our focus remains on learning and mutual respect.

  • Bottoms: Plain black pants only, no rips, shorts, or skirts.
  • Footwear for Safety: To support our hands-on, authentic learning environments, students must wear closed-toe shoes.
  • Expect Different: For safety and professional standards, casual footwear such as Ugg boots, thongs, or Crocs is not permitted on site.

By maintaining these standards, we act with fierce compassion for our school environment, ensuring every student is safe and ready to engage in real world learning.

Transitioning Together
2026–2027

To support our families and ensure a smooth journey for everyone, we have a two-year transition plan in place:

  • New Students (2026): All students starting their journey with us in 2026 will wear the new uniform.
  • Current Students: You may transition to the new uniform at your own pace. To keep this accessible, existing uniform stock is available at Playford International College’s Student Services with a 50% discount while supplies last.
