Amazing! Wonderful! Excellent!
These words were amongst many other superlatives voiced by dignitaries, including DECD CE Tony Harrison, guests and event organisers to describe the performances presented by the Classical Guitar Ensemble and a range of soloists at the DECD RTO Graduation Ceremony. This event was held on Friday 1 April in the grandeur of the William Magarey room at Adelaide Oval. Students also performed in the Foyer to guests as they were registering for the event whilst enjoying the view of the beautiful grounds.
Congratulations to Zane Weetra who confidently presented the Acknowledgement of Country to a full house at the beginning of the ceremony.
The Old Scholars 50th Anniversary Reunion was held on Saturday 27 February in the Playford IC gym. Many thanks go to Ashley White, Matthew Snelling, Jamie Groom and Peter Moore who provided entertainment for the many past students of Elizabeth High School were in attendance. The performances were extremely well received and we thank the President of the Old Scholars Association, Professor Gordon Howarth for inviting us to be part of this celebration.
Matthew, Jamie, Zane, Peter and Mathew Allen also performed for an important community event, Together In The North, an initiative about a collective impact approach in the northern area. This event was held at the Stretton Centre, Munno Para on Monday 29 February.
Congratulations to all musicians who took part in these events and whose conduct and performances are always of an exceptionally high standard.
