Take Ownership. Define Your Future.

Senior schooling at Playford International College is the bridge to your future. This is the pivotal moment to take ownership of your learning and prepare for life beyond our gates. With a diverse range of SACE and VET pathways, we provide the flexibility to expect different, ensuring your final years of school are as unique as your ambitions.

Empowered to Lead

Supported by caring educators and dedicated mentoring, our Senior students are empowered to define their own success whether that leads to university, an apprenticeship, or the workforce. We encourage our learners to explore their passions through authentic, hands-on experiences connected to the real world.

At Playford International College, we focus on:
  • Fierce Compassion: Guiding students to lead through service and contribute positively to their community.
  • Purpose-Driven Goals: Connecting academic studies to personal ‘whys’ to build resilience and confidence.
  • Trust Without Question: Inspiring every young person to believe in their potential and their capacity to create a future that reflects who they truly are.

The SACE Journey at
Playford International College

The South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE) is more than a qualification; it is a framework for personal excellence. At Playford International College, our SACE program is designed to be flexible, enabling you to select subjects that match your unique interests and strengths.

Pathways to Achievement:

We believe there is no ‘one size fits all’ approach to success. Students can complete their SACE through a personalised blend of:

  • Traditional SACE Subjects
  • Vocational Education and Training (VET)
  • Community Learning
  • University and TAFE Partnerships
Structured for Success

The SACE journey is structured into two distinct stages, designed to build momentum as students move toward their future. At Playford International College, we begin this journey early to ensure every student has the time and support to succeed.

Stage 1 (Years 10 & 11): Building the Foundation
  • Stage 1 focuses on developing core skills and personal capabilities. This stage allows students to explore their interests, trial different career pathways, and begin their compulsory SACE requirements.
Stage 2 (Year 12): Defining the Future
  • Stage 2 involves in depth study in selected specialised subjects. This final stage is designed to prepare students for their specific transition beyond school, whether that is university, TAFE, an apprenticeship, or the workforce.
Compulsory Requirements:

To achieve the SACE, students must successfully complete the following ‘must-pass’ subjects:

  • Exploring Identities and Futures (EIF): Completed in Year 10 (10 credits)
  • English: Two semesters of Stage 1 English (20 credits)
  • Mathematics: At least one semester of Stage 1 Mathematics (10 credits)
  • Activating Identities and Futures (AIF): Completed in Year 11 (10 credits)
