PIC received an email outlining that Medical companies needed more supplies for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Sue, our Science and STEM Coordinator answered the call!

We are putting our 3D Printers to good use over the holidays, printing ‘face shields’ for local frontline workers. We’re hoping to print 100 face shields in the next week.

The school is also printing out fasteners which can be used with face masks to hold them together to help ease pressure on the wearer’s ears.

This batch has gone to the Modbury Hospital Emergency Department staff, who are very grateful for our technology and kindness in paying it forward to help them in this time of need.
