With Term 1 rapidly coming to a close SACE teachers are about to close their marks books and begin to write Term 1 reports.

Good afternoon everyone, It has a been a busy term and it seems surreal that term one is over.

School Attendance Research shows that poor school attendance is associated with: • lower academic achievement including literacy and numeracy • early school leaving • leaving school with fewer qualifications • reduced opportunities for students to learn and access educational resources, further limiting achievement • further absenteeism in higher year levels • increased incidence of negative impact on health and wellbeing.

In week 6, our Aboriginal Education team held our first parent community meeting for the year.

Good afternoon everyone, Welcome Back! The 2017 school year is now well under way and I have been delighted with the positive energy and feel of the surrounds of our great school.

Students who achieved an A+ with merit in 2016 were invited to attend the SACE Merit Ceremony on Tuesday 7 February 2017.

The school’s Annual General Meeting will be held at the next School Board meeting at 5pm on Wednesday 29th March (Week 9).

The second annual Playford International College Swimming Carnival was held on Tuesday 14th February.

From this year, every Year 8-12 student has been provided a teacher/leader mentor.
