Extreme Hot Weather Policy:
During periods of extreme hot weather (days forecast to reach 40 degrees C or over for the Elizabeth area), or extended periods without adequate air-conditioning, the Principal will have the authority to invoke the following arrangements:
· Dismiss students at the beginning of lunchtime (1.30pm) when the estimated maximum temperature for the Elizabeth area, as predicted on The Bureau of Meteorology Website at 8:00 am, is 40 degrees C or above.
· Notify parents/caregivers (SMS) of arrangements during extreme heat.
