We encourage parents to be involved in the School and with their children’s education as much as possible, through:
- Governing Council membership and Sub-Committee membership
- Canteen assistance
- Parent fundraising
- Sports teams coaches and team managers
- Helping on excursions and camps
Volunteers can make a significant contribution to the school community by giving their time and sharing their skills with others. Volunteers possess a wide range of interests and abilities that complement school programs, providing rich interactions and experiences for students.
The participation of volunteers at FECHS is highly appreciated and valued. While the welfare of our students is our highest priority, we want to do everything possible to ensure that volunteers are provided with the necessary support to ensure their involvement is rewarding.
The Volunteer Policy provides information relating to both volunteers who support the school on a casual basis and those who are more directly involved with the supervision of students. The latter must complete a Department for Communities and Social Inclusion (DCSI) Child-Related employment check.
Volunteer Declaration forms are required to be completed by volunteers who are more formally involved in the supervision of students, including sports coaches and learning support.
Please contact the School for further information.
